RIDING HOLIDAYS

Quinta Verde is a private farm on 5 ha of land, lovingly renovated in 1996. My portugese neighbours are still farmers. On my farm, we have six horses, an old donky, lots of chicken and two geese, three dogs and two cats.

My horses, all of them Lusitano part-breds, stay outside all through the year. They are friendly and like people. Mostley they go out hacking. I prefer riding them with a bitless bridle. In my experience, it´s a good way of riding.

For our guests, I offer guided rides into the lovely surrounding countryside.

Come with me to the coast with it´s fragrant vegetation and fresh ocean winds. Or to the hills with their cork oaks, pines and eukalyptus forest. Enjoy magic sunsets by the sea ore dare to come on a ride at full moon.

For a minimum of two people, I organising trips along the westcoast of the Algarve and the Alentejo. We ride 5-6 hours a day and stay the night at private farms or inns. Some of them are basic, but always interesting an clean.

Non-riding guest can go rambling, bathing, surfing, mountain biking or play tennis in the neibouring village.
